Check your ADSL Connection type

Assalam A3laykom
Dear Ikhnaton, I think your problem with your ASP that they are giving you a ADSL connection type 2+ (ADSL 2+) now all ISP's (yours TEData) are using this type, but all modems are still working on normal DSL, because they have been manufactured in 2003 - 2004, the solution for this matter is to go to your router/modem manufacturer website and to download a firmware upgrade to set your modem using a dsl2+ connection, (it is not a hardware problem, it is only a software upgrade), then let your ISP re-configure again your router/modem as they can access it from their side. This is the solution for the disconnection from the service when you are using a DSL connection.

I read that you wait 21 days to resolve your modem problem, I think that the last technical guy with whom you speack, is a well trained guy, because at least he took the initiative to log into your modem/router and reconfigured, because as I said above, your ISP can access it using a password related to the modem itself and change its configuration, you can find how to access and modify your settings in your modem, with the technical book that come in the box.

Regarding the "No dial Tone" I think you have to check youe telephone wire connection, because a bad wiring can cause a loss of data even if you have Dial tone, most of the time you must use a Modem filter on your line to increase the power of your phone line.

Best Regards
